{she is healed}

As some of you may know, my grandma passed away Thursday evening after a 4+ year battling Alzheimer's. This news is especially hard because now all four of my grandparents are in Heaven.

Zack and I will be with family in Indiana for the next few days, celebrating her renewed life in Heaven.
Thank you to everyone who has prayed and given us {hugs} -- it is so appreciated.

I can't help but think of all the great memories we all have with her, like how she taught all of us grand kids how to tie our shoes, or how she used to shake her Italian finger at us grand kids, but then give us a big hug and a warm laugh afterward.

Grandparents are so special...
I'm so thankful to see her again some day.

Yes, Grandparents are very special people in our lives. And Alzheimers, I don't know where to begin. Such an awful disease, for families. So glad that you will be able to be with family to celebrate her life and her new exciting life! She will be missed, but you know, you will see her again!

Hi Gussy,

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandma. :-( I just wrote about losing my Grandma, who died of a stroke on February 13, 1999. Grandmas are so special, and I know you will miss her very much.

Sending you hugs today my friend,

Layla

PS- I'm originally from Minnesota and my Grandma lived there her whole life. :-)

Grandparents are beautiful, precious gifts and the best of them leave a legacy as wide and deep as the hole of their absence. So sorry, sweet girl... and will continue to pray for your family this week. HUGS

Sorry about your grandmother. My grandma had Alzheimers also in the last few years of her life. It was quite sad but I like to remember her before she had it, I know you will, too.

We are experiencing the same thing with my Grandmother.

She's looking forward to going Home and seeing her husband of 64 years and all her other precious family.

We are enjoying her while she's still here, but preparing our hearts for her Homegoing. So thankful that we will see her again...healthy and whole!

I know you will miss her. But, just think, this will be the last time you will ever have to tell her goodbye. :-)

I'm sure you will miss her, but she's so much better now. I had an aunt with the same thing and it was hard the last few years.

Take care...hugs!

I'm very sorry about your grandma's passing. Yes, grandparents are very special. I lost three during childhood and one passed before I was born. You never forget good grandparents. The older you get the more you realize that our lives are better because we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us. I will always treasure my memories of my grandparents and I'm sure that you will as well. Perhaps the best way to honor our grandparents is to live in a way that we know would make them proud of us.

I'm so sorry to hear about your grandmother. I lost mine to Alzheimers 6 years ago after 11 years in a nursing home (and several years of her at home w/the early signs)... it is a horrific disease. Hold on to those wonderful memories that you have of her. I'm praying as she makes her way to heaven!
