{lots of ruffles + the winners, revealed!}

Hi, hi, hi, hi, hi!!!

Happy Monday to you :)

Since there are so many new readers {hooray}, I thought I'd introduce myself and officially welcome you.

Hi, I'm Gussy!
I have brown curly hair, big blue eyes, and I like to wear headbands that my husband Zack so lovingly calls barrettes. Sigh... He does that on purpose ;)

There's lots of great things to talk about this morning: sewing, giveaway winners, and some more updates. I know I don't show my face around here very often because let's be honest: why post pictures of myself when there are ruffle's to showcase?!

However, I have to show you this pic:

That is my reaction to doing laundry. I love doing laundry. Yes, that is our dirty laundry. Don't be grossed out. I had to show you all that picture because a few weeks ago I blogged about how much I love to launder our clothes and my friend Kim @ Everything Etsy laughed at me. I knew someone would ;)

Don't hate me because I love to launder, OK? Just be my friend and laugh with me when I mix up phrases.

Next topic!

A few days ago I showed you all this picture:

I was hopeful to transform all the fabric pieces into something lovely, something luscious, something legit. Yesterday afternoon, while hubbs took our one and only car {yes, we sold the VUE!} to get an oil change, I jammed away in our little {big} Minneapolis apartment. Just me and my sewing machine. And a mug of cream with coffee. And my ruffles. Ahhh... it was bliss :)

Today folks, on the third Monday of the month, I am here to show you the scraps of fabric have been transformed... Pardon my drool on the ruffles.

Hello, Shady Gus':
They are great for your sunglasses {tee he he}, your iPhone or iPod, chapstick, crayons and maybe a barrette or two. But not a headband {too big}.

***

Hello, Lovely Gus':
The perfect ruffle'd Gussy item for your purse, bag, diaper bag, or ya know, ______. I keep one in my messenger bag for work, in my purse, and maybe three more around the house. Zack, if you're reading this, don't be upset I am using a few zipped pouches. I've only sewn 250+ items and if I keep just five things... Well, I find that appropriate {to say the least} ;)

Hello, Ruffle Gus':
These soon-to-be wallets are darling. Just darling, I tell you. I have them stacked on my sewing table and I keep going in to check on them. To make sure they are real. Because they are darling. Very soon I'll sew on a button, add a magnetic snap, and then sew up the sides.

Once everything is listed I'll be sure to let you know!

I love your new picture with your "barrette" as Zack would say. If I wear a headband Greg always seems to look at it funny like it shouldn't be there. Boys are silly. Hope you had a great weekend and stayed warm out there!!

John says that when I wear a headband it looks like I don;t know what to do with my hair. Um hello...I'm doing my hair with a headband.

I never thought to use a shady Gus for my iPhone...

I about freaked out yesterday when my mini Gus spilled coins all inside my "mom purse"! Have you thought about doing the minis with a zipper?

Congratulations to the lucky ladies! =) Gussy, I'm glad your giveaway was such a big success.

I honestly am not such a huge fan of laundry. Well, correction. I don't like when I put in a load of clothes and then forget to fold them until they're all wrinkly. Maybe someday I'll love laundry. Maybe. =)

Wish I liked laundry ha ha! You're going to find it tough to find others like yourself, but rest assured it's definitely a good thing to like something that MUST be done throughout our entire lives on a weekly basis yes? :)

You've got some neat stuff you're working on! Congrats to the winners!
