{looking for advice!}

OUR COUCH IS DONE, OUR COUCH IS DONE -- HOORAY!!!

Zack's mom and grandma came down Saturday afternoon and stayed through this morning {Tuesday}. They were here from Petoskey {a lovely 4-hour drive} and graciously recovered our living room couch. You can read about my anticipated excitement from this recent post: {I'll just take my couch and MOVE OUT.} If you haven't read that post yet, don't freak out. No one is moving... I was just remembering a fond memory of my college years...

And that memory is over.

I'll let ya know when the pictures are ready.

While the family was in town, I was SO LUCKY to have found this amazing fabric shop located in downtown Royal Oak. {Thanks Uncle John!} It's called, I CAN'T SHARE THAT WITH YOU, SILLY. Trade Secrets, ya know ;) I found the coolest {!!!} button collection. Oh my word. I'm going to have to really restrain myself from not applying three or more buttons on my sewing projects. Three is my limit. Three.

{I have no clue why.}

Zack informed me this morning that "having family around really brings out my 70%."

I'm taking that as a very nice way of saying, Thanks for visiting guys, because my wife put the Sass in the closet for four whole days and it was like a breath of fresh...

OK, now I'm exaggerating that a bit. But he did say ...[it] really brings out my 70%.
You can laugh with me as I recall the 30%/70% fact here.
That is the plain truth.

-------------------------------------------

I'm going to make a big U-turn now. I need some advice.
  1. I'm looking for a new purse.
Here is the purse style I'm looking for. I need something that is functional AND cute {of course}.

What do you think? What are your thoughts? Please post... I need your help :)

  1. I don't like my hair. It is never the same two days in a row, and if it ever looks good, years later when I just love it, I can't remember what I used to style it.
It is too wavy, too curly, too straight, too crunchy, too soft. And I know I'm complaining TOO much. I used to use a nice cream for wavy hair, and that was great. I can't remember what product it was though. Then I was mixing gel and leave-in conditioner, but that isn't it 100%. Now I'm using mouse, and that is just NOT GOOD. It's giving me crunchy hair that is flat {I like my volume}. I know some of you readers have beautiful hair, so I'd love if you could offer up some suggestions. My hair is like 1.5 inches PAST my shoulders. Maybe I just need to cut 3 inches off. I would love that, Zack... he would probably want me to NOT cut it. But I know he wouldn't mind, just as long as it's not cut to my chin.

And with that, I'm done!
:)

I have a purse almost just like that! The style is not quite the same but the color and faux croc is the exact same! I love it....I'll have to send you a pic. :)

So funny that you're from GR! We are actually living in Spring Lake right now, over by Grand Haven but we were in GR for 7 years before moving over to this area. I love the west side of MI.
I'm going to have to check out your Etsy site - I'm a knitter and sewer so I love finding fellow crafters. =) My husband's best friend is HUGE into Etsy and has gotten a lot of recognition from them and has tutorials for how to get started on Etsy, etc. His shop is Timothy Adam Designs, he does metal stuff.
